Hankyoung Linda Chang was born in South Korea and began studying violin at the age of four with Aleksandr Konyakhin. She has also studied with Min-Jeong Suh and Sang-Hee Kim at the Music Academy for Young Gifted Musicians at the Seoul Arts Center.
She has performed with Pazardjik Orchestra in Bulgaria, Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra and Banatul Timisoara Orchestra in Romania.
At the age of 8 Linda was admitted to the pre-college division of the prestigious Juilliard School in New York and has been studying under Professor Hyo Kang ever since. She gave her first solo recital in the U.S at Paul Hall, Juilliard School in January, 2018.
In 2018, she became the youngest recipient of a three-quarter sized violin made by Joseph Rocca of Turin in 1852 from the Stradivari Society in Chicago.
