One of the greatest musicians to grace world’s most important stages, legendary Spanish Pianist Joaquín Achúcarro is celebrating his 90th birthday with an international recital tour. We are privileged to welcome Maestro Achúcarro, and celebrate the stunning artistry in his only onstage/offstage Chicago recital!

The Joaquín Achúcarro Foundation was founded to showcase, educate and benefit the careers of pianists, while developing and maintaining the legacy of pianist Joaquín Achúcarro in perpetuity. Mr. Achúcarro is Spain’s foremost concert pianist and a revered artist whose career has spanned over eight decades. As an educator, he has touched the lives of many young musicians during his tenure at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. This collaboration is particularly meaningful, as some of the artists presented by NCSMF were mentored by Mr. Achúcarro, including Artistic Directors Angela Yoffe and Vadim Gluzman. JAF’s Artistic Directors, pianists Lucille Chung and Alessio Bax have already appeared on NSCMF’s stages.

We are fortunate to be able to present the master himself, Joaquín Achúcarro in an intimate recital for the onstage/offstage series at PianoForte Chicago.
This is a special event which will close this beautiful circle of music, friendship and love, and forge a path for a new generation of young musicians.
