2026 Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund recipient
Violinist Madison Lin is pursuing her bachelor’s degree at The Peabody Institute under the tutelage of Vadim Gluzman as a recipient of the Premier Talent Scholarship. She received first prize at the 2026 Marbury Violin Competition and is also a recipient of the North Shore Chamber Music Festival’s Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund. Madison previously studied with Dr. Pasha Sabouri at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Pre-College. She has been mentored by many musicians including Miriam Fried, Robin Wilson, Olga Kaler, Mimi Zweig, Midori, Grigory Kalinovsky, Julian Rhee, Richard Lin, Ingrid Matthews, Haik Kazazyan, Stella Chen, and Simone Porter.
She has served as principal in the Peabody Symphony Orchestra, and she has also served as both concertmaster and principal in the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. Beyond orchestral studies, Madison studies chamber music with Annie Fullard. She has been coached by musicians including Atar Arad, Kim Kashkashian, Sarah Kapustin, Roeland Jagers, Amir Eldan, and members of the Pacifica, Parker, Telegraph, Isidore, Shanghai, and Esme String Quartets.
During the summer, Madison has participated as a scholarship recipient of the Keshet Eilon International String Mastercourse, the Music in the Mountains Violin Academy, and the IU Jacobs School of Music’s Summer String Academy.
