2025 Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund recipient
Clarinetist Anna Marija Kubecka is a winner of many national and international competitions with a lot of concert experience.
Last year alone, she won the “Talents of Inese Galante” contest and the Saverio Mercendante Noci clarinet contest in Italy. Multiple wins of the Eduards Mednis International Competition “Young Musician”. In 2021, she won the Grand Prix in this competition, which ensured her the opportunity for 2022/2023. to perform together with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. At the beginning of this year, she won the 1st place in the “Valda Vikmaņa Latvian Young Player Artists” competition and got the opportunity to perform with Liepāja Symphony Orchestra.
Anna Marija Kubecka has preformed in the studio of Latvian Radio together with pianist Ieva Sarja, together with her teacher, recognized clarinetist Mārtiņas Circeni in Latvia, as well as collaborated with LNSO and Sinfonia Concertante and conductors Andri Vecumnieks and Gunti Kuzma.
She has also participated in youth festival orchestras outside of Latvia. She has improved her knowledge in international master classes in Spain and Austria.
